Medical Care Pricing Information

Pricing for medical care is complex and variable, so we try our best to ensure our pricing model is as clear as possible.

Three main questions you deserve the answers to.

What is the cost?

  • We can predict cash pricing for care and we share those prices below.

  • Paying for care with insurance makes anticipating costs more difficult since pricing largely depends on your insurance plan and conditions.

  • There are some testing and care options that is only able to be paid with cash pricing. We share more about this below.

What the cost of medical care?

  • In many cases, my appointments are considered “specialty” appointments, so consider this when planning your costs.

  • All medical care at Evangeline is done through MyCatholicDoctor.com and is subject to their billing and payment policies. For questions regarding a bill or to inquire about your insurance coverage, please contact billing@mycatholicdoctor.com.

  • Cash rates are available for all visit types and are dependent on the time spent completing tasks associated with your visit. See the tabulation below for cash rates.

Prescriptions, Laboratory, and Radiologic Testing

Prescriptions

  • Depending on your treatment plan, you may be offered medications that can be filled at conventional pharmacies (Walgreens, CVS, Walmart, etc.) or compounded medications that must be filled at specialty pharmacies. We can send medications to any compounding pharmacy in your area, though, we advise you to call first and verify cost. Insurance will not cover specialty compounded medications most of the time, though this varies depending on the policy.

    • Examples of compounded medications include specialty dosing or formulations of progesterone and low dose naltrexone (LDN).

  • Medications sent to conventional pharmacies will be covered under your pharmacy benefit plan.

Laboratory & Specialty Diagnostic Testing

  • By nature of our treatment model, we heavily utilize laboratory testing to find underlying causes of infertility, recurrent miscarriages, and so forth. There are multiple different payment options for your lab work, and we will work with you to employ the most cost effective option.

  • We can send conventional labs to any lab in your area, but we have special discount pricing in particular with LabCorp and Quest. We cannot anticipate the prices at private labs or large hospital systems.

  • You may apply your insurance coverage to all conventional laboratory testing with Evangeline. If using insurance, the cost will vary depending on your plan.

  • If paying cash, we can predict the most of what your expected cash price would be for the following test item. This is not an exhaustive list and is subject to change at anytime. If using insurance, the cost could be higher or lower.

Radiologic Testing

  • All radiologic testing is performed with local hospital systems, or private imaging services in your area. Pricing will vary depending on your insurance plan, but all testing should be covered.

  • There are cash pay discount programs available that we can take advantage of on as as-needed basis.

  • Some specialty imaging like CTs and MRIs may need prior authorizations. We work with you to maximize your insurance coverage whenever possible.
